Jardines Secretos in Rivas is truly a hidden gem for anyone, especially for adventure enthusiasts like myself. Nestled within a stunning botanical garden, the serene atmosphere is perfect for unwinding after long hikes, such as our trek to Cerro Chirripo, just 2.2 km away. The warm hospitality of the hosts made us feel like family, and I particularly loved the spacious cabina we stayed in, equipped with a comfy bed and a little terrace where we enjoyed our morning coffee while soaking in the lush surroundings. The breakfast was a highlight-freshly cooked with local flavors, including a delicious omelette that fueled our hiking days ahead. And let me tell you, the homemade coffee ice cream is an absolute must-try! With internet access good enough for some light streaming and a lovely terrace to relax on, this place became not just our base for hiking adventures but also a wonderful retreat to recharge. If you're like me, seeking both fitness and a touch of nature, Jardines Secretos should be at the top of your list!
